Coach Jacob Compton

Jacob Compton, assistant coach of the 18U Kansas Curve, is a 2015 graduate of Goddard High School. After high school Jacob signed to pitch at Pratt Community College. He is currently in his senior campaign at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri where he serves as a top arm out of the bullpen. This will be Jacob's first year with the Curve coaching staff. He will assist with pitching and other game time decisions. 

Coach Josh Oakley

Josh Oakley, assistant coach of the 18U Kansas Curve, is a 2016 graduate of Eisenhower High School. After high school Josh signed to play at Tabor College for Coach Mark Standiford. Oakley is currently in his 3rd year at Tabor where he serves as a right handed pitcher. Josh has spent the previous two summers as head coach for a local 12U team. He will be entering his first year as part of the Kansas Curve coaching staff. 



Coach Evan Smith

Evan Smith, Co-owner of the Kansas Curve, is a graduate of Wichita Northwest High School, class of 2012. After high school, Evan went on to play college baseball at Highland Community College, where he was an everyday starter in the OF for Coach Rick Eberly and the Scotties. Baseball was an option for Evan after Highland, however he decided to pursue his passion in education. Evan hopes that he can impact the lives of the young men on his team as his teachers and coaches did for him. He currently works for a non profit organization in Wichita that aids those with exceptionalities. After graduation Evan plans to coach collegiate baseball or begin teaching at a local high school, whichever opportunity may arise. He is entering his 2nd year as the assistant baseball coach at North High School, located in Wichita, Ks. Effective fall 2018 he will begin his professional career in education at North High School in the Interrelated Social Studies Department. Evan and his wife Kate reside in Wichita. Evan currently serves as an assistant coach for a local collegiate summer team. 

Coach Jacob Baca 

Jacob Baca, current operator, co-owner, head coach of the 18U Kansas Curve, and GM of the Kansas Curve Collegiate team, is a graduate of Goddard High School, class of 2012. After High School, Baca took his baseball career to Newman University, where he played for Coach Ehling. His career was ended after his freshman year as a Jet due to a knee injury. He now attends Wichita State University and plans to major in Business. With his baseball knowledge and experience he looks to take the Curve to the next level of baseball. Jacob is in his 5th year of coaching and will enter his first year on the Circle High School coaching staff in 2019.
